Key Funding Goals for the 2011-12 school year:
Stop Class Size Growth-5 class sections @ $22,500 each, total: $112,500 - Classroom Instructional Materials: $50,000
- After-School Tutoring Programs: $12,000
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: $15,000
- Biotech Equipment for new Facility (one-time): $40,000
- Technology Consumables: $3,500
- Support for Naviance, a College Guidance Tool for Students & Families: $5,000
- WASC Training: $1,000
- On-going grants to College & Career Center, AVID, Library, Mock Trial, Robotics, Sojourn to the Past, Student Scholarships: $8,000
Additional donations will provide funding for essential technology upgrades, further funding for class size reduction and allow the reinstatement of a full-time College Counselor position, which was lost due to budget cuts. Your Donations Have Been Put to Work! Donations have kept freshman class sizes down, provided after-school tutors, and Naviance college counseling for our juniors and seniors. They have provided time for teachers to share their best lessons with their colleagues. Donations have also delivered important every-day supplies like paper in the copiers, micropipettes in the labs, and paint in the studios.
As of January 23, 2012, CAF grants totaling $166,135 have been distributed for the 2011-12 school year. This is more than DOUBLE what we have ever been able to accomplish before!
Maintaining Class Sizes for 2011-12 School Year- $67,000 (60% of goal)
Classroom Instructional Materials- $50,000 (100% of goal)
Teacher Collaboration- $15,000 (100% of goal) After-School Tutoring- $11,000 (92% of goal) Biotech Equipment for the New Facility- $13,000 (52% of goal) Implementation of Naviance, a college guidance tool for students & families- $5,000 (100% of goal)
Sojourn to the Past, Library Resources, AVID, Robotics, Mock Trial, New Teacher Sipends - $4,635 (58% of goal)
