Oversight of business operations
The Administrative Services division provides leadership and direction of the district's business operations. Some of the key functions of the division include long-range financial planning; collection, disbursement and accounting of all district funds; oversight of construction activity and district properties; management of insurance and liability activity; and support services.

Food Services The Food Services Department provides breakfast and lunch meals to district schools (visit Food Services for more information).

Maintenance & Operations Along with ensuring that school and district facilities are clean, safe and properly maintained, the Maintenance & Operations Department has responsibility for processing developer fees for local property owners who rebuild, remodel or add square footage to their properties.

Purchasing
Purchasing of quality, economical goods and professional services (including purchases related to construction projects) is handled by the Purchasing Department. Purchasing also oversees the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and compliance to government codes relating to issuance of public contracts. Please note: All vendors must go through the district's centralized Purchasing Department.

Technology The Sequoia district continues to push the boundaries in the use of technology in the 21st century classroom. All Sequoia district schools are equipped with computer resources for the benefit of faculty and staff – from the latest, streamlined computers to advanced SMART Boards that actively engage students in the curriculum.

Transportation The Sequoia district provides transportation for (1) students traveling from East Palo Alto and East Menlo Park to Carlmont, Redwood and Woodside high schools; (2) special education students enrolled at Carlmont, Menlo-Atherton, Sequoia and Woodside high schools as well as special education students enrolled at Achieve School, Capuchino High School, Esther B. Clarke School, Pace School, and Spectrum Center; (3) the Tinsley Volunteer Transfer Program; and (4) the following elementary school districts: Belmont-Redwood Shores, Las Lomitas, Menlo Park, Portola Valley, San Carlos, and Woodside.
