Located on 34 acres east of the Santa Cruz Mountains, just north of Stanford University, Woodside High School is an accomplished, fully accredited comprehensive public high school that is greatly influenced by the business, intellectual and cultural interests of the region and draws students from families of both great affluence and significant disadvantage.

The school makes Newsweek magazine's list of the nation's top high schools, consistently receives a perfect “10” in California’s similar-school rankings, and offers one of the most rigorous advanced placement college preparatory programs in the region.  Woodside’s steady stream of innovations includes a renowned robotics and engineering program, a new Green Academy, and an expanding media and design arts program.

Local community support of a series of bonds has made possible many recent and upcoming enhancements to facilities and technology at Woodside High.  Planning is currently under way for a new media arts facility to house film and audio production, web design and animation and digital photography.

With all of its dynamic growth, the school still keeps its class sizes small, offers a choice of small-learning communities, and provides a plethora of student support programs and services, along with myriad opportunities for students to participate in interscholastic sports, visual and performing arts programs and other student enrichment activities.
