Start of enhancements in 2001
 
The Measure G bond for $88 million was approved by voters in 2001 and was supplemented by $3.75 million in earned interest, $10.6 million in state matching funds, and $.9 million in private donations. This supplemental funding brought the total in Measure G construction projects to approximately $103.6 million.
 
Listed below are highlights of work completed with the Measure G bond.
 
Support of dynamic performing arts programs

Renovation and restoration of Sequoia High School's historic 800-seat Carrington Hall theater (pictured at left)
 

New performing arts center with 530-seat theater at Woodside High School

 

 
Support of outstanding academic programs

New biotechnology laboratory and two new wings with 24 classrooms at Carlmont High School (pictured at left)
 
New science building at Sequoia High School
 

Extensive modification to science classrooms at Menlo-Atherton and Sequoia high schools

 


 
Support of championship athletic programs

New swim stadium-gymnasium combinations at Menlo-Atherton and Woodside high schools (pictured at left)
 
New swimming pool at Carlmont High School
 

All-weather track and fields at Carlmont, Menlo-Atherton, Sequoia and Woodside high schools

 


 
Additional work at Carlmont, Menlo-Atherton, Sequoia and Woodside high schools made possible with Measure G funding includes:
 

Major work on heating systems and gas and electrical distribution infrastructure, and new bathrooms

Major repair and replacement work on water and sewer lines

American Disabilities Act (ADA) access modification for walkways, hallways and doors
